In the morning we will drive towards Old Dhaka. Visit outside the National Assembly Building (Parliament Building) one of the legislative building in the World, designed by the famous US Architect Louis Kahn, We will have a good look at the building from both side. Continue driving towards old Dhaka.
Lalbag Fort
Reach Old Dhaka and Visit Dhakeswari Temple. This temple is assumed as a 400 years temple build by an Arkanese kingdom. Dhakeshwari temple is the center of Hindu Religion and festival in Dhaka. We will visit Lalbag fort, an unfinished Mughal fort in Dhaka. Built in 1678. It’s a wonderful Mughal Architecture with big space and garden and fountain. Take a paddle rikshaw ride through the narrow alleys of old Dhaka where cars can’t reach and experience the hustle and bustle of old Dhaka. Walk on Islampur Road, the largest Whole sale market in Bangladesh. Where shop owners from whole Bangladesh come to buy their goods. Walk on Sakhari Bazar also known as Hindu Street.,/p>
Ahsan Manjil ( Pink Palace)
Lord Curzon Hall
This is a unique street in Dhaka and the Centre of Hindu Culture and community in old Dhaka. Old buildings are raised on both sides of the street, full of jewelry shops, local shops, cookery shops, musical instruments shop, Hindu bridal shops, kite shops, Etc. Lunch at a Local restaurant with authentic Bengali Food. Visit Ahsan Majil (Pink Place) a colonial period palace that was the home of most influential family of Dhaka, who were the feudal lord during the British rule. Ahsan Manzil is another key tourist attraction of Dhaka City. You will enjoy Sadar Ghat River Port and life in the bank of Burigonga River. Sadarghat River Port is the biggest River Port in Bangladesh and also one of the biggest river port in the South Asia. On the way back we will visit Curzon hall. The building was originally intended to be town hall. It was build in 1904 during the British Ruling Period. It’s a wonderful architectural building which is used as a science faculty of Dhaka University. End of the trip.
